Furniture and antique restoration requires a broad range
of skills which include for example: skillful structural repair; complete
disassembly and reassembly where original glue has failed throughout;
creation of wholly new parts where originals have been completely shattered or
lost; replacement of disintegrated veneers; restoring and repairing original
finishes such as hand rubbed shellac French Polish, oil varnishes, milk paint,
lacquer, gold leaf, leather; and exercising a discerning sense of color to
